Pumpkin Mandomizer: Week 2

The Pumpkin Mandomizer is a fun little set of rules I’ve made for myself in order to make my Hard Mode True Ending playthrough more interesting. Basically, while I am free to use any unit I want at any time during the playthrough, I’ve randomly selected the above team, and am required to bring them into the final battle. I hope you enjoy coming along with me for the ride, and feel free to give strategy suggestions in the comments below! Chapter 3: Those That Came Late Roy is able to evade heavy casualties, and seizes the nearby castle. They liberate the prisoner inside, who is none other than King Zephiel of Bern’s younger sister, Guinevere! She’s a far way from home. Evidently, she’s looking for an audience with the Lycian Alliance, in an effort to find a peaceful end to the war before it continues any longer. Roy decides to let her join his crew as they head over to Castle Araphen in order to rendezvous with Hector and join his crew. On the way, however, they receive a har...

Weapon Discussion: Urvan

Weapon Discussion is a series where I choose a Fire Emblem weapon to design, 3D print, and then talk about! If you have any requests for what I should make next, drop them in the comments! I’ll take things like upvotes, availability of reference material, budget, skill level, my personal interest, whether someone else has already made it, etc. in consideration when picking the next one. Welcome back to Weapon Discussion! Last time we talked about the controversial main weapon of the first Fire Emblem to be released in the West: Durandal! Today we’re going to take a step down (although to be honest, I genuinely don’t know of any weapon in the entire series that I would have more to say about than that one!), and talk about everyone’s favorite dad’s weapon of choice, Urvan! Disclaimer for this one, though, I personally haven’t played Path of Radiance (I’ll snag it on NSO one of these days, though!), and it’s been a long time since I’ve played Radiant Dawn, so I’ll be leanin...

Fire Emblem Weapon Discussion: Durandal

Welcome to my first Weapon Discussion (open to suggestions for cooler names), where I create a weapon from the Fire Emblem series and then talk about its appearances in the series! This time I have selected Durandal, The Blazing Blade, most notable for its appearance as the (regionally) eponymous weapon in FE7, the very first one to be released officially in the West. Despite this being the case, it feels like it’s one of the most (if not the most) forgotten “game main weapons” in the series, so let’s give it some love today! Just a heads-up, though, I’m speaking off of my memory from playing the Binding Blade recently, and my experience with Blazing Blade a long time back. I’ve looked some stuff up to double-check, but there’s a chance I’ve misremembered something. Feel free to correct me! Before the Games To understand where Durandal came from, we have to talk about the Scouring. Almost 1000 years before the events of The (Binding/Blazing) Blade, a massive human-dragon war know...
